Rowena knocked two times, but Godric did not answer.
"Godric, I need to talk to you."
No answer came. It was only silence. Silence and the rain brushing the castle’s windows.
"Godric. I have terrible news.", the woman spoke from behind the door. She breathed a sigh, and its sound seemed to have reverberated through the deserted hall.
"Helga - she ran away." She had told her, she had warned her kindhearted friend that going after Salzar was not an option, that he was after all the circumstances a cold-hearted man and there was nothing he could give her. But Helga didn’t gave in. She abandoned everything she had - for him.
She could hear steps. His steps, as he came to open the door.
"Where to?", his voice was harsh. He was still angry after the fight with Salazar.
The professor looked down at her feet. Her voice seemed to be stuck in her throat.
"To find him - Salazar."
The tall man nodded lightly. In the dim light of the lamps he seemed older than he was. It was not something she would usually do, but Rowena embraced him, trying to dry the anger burning in his heart.
"Let’s pray she’ll come back, then, Rowena. Safe. And alone.”
